Bingjie Ling, MD
Dr. Bingjie Ling grew up in Virginia, where she completed most of her education. She entered the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Economics in 2008. During her undergraduate summers, she worked as an ophthalmic technician in the University of Virginia Department of Ophthalmology, an experience that sparked her interest in ophthalmology and laid the foundation for her career.
Dr. Ling earned her medical degree from the University of Virginia in 2014. She completed her internship at Tufts University/Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston and went on to complete her ophthalmology residency at Boston University Medical Center, Boston’s largest Level I trauma center and safety‑net hospital, where she developed strong clinical and surgical expertise.
After completing residency in 2018, Dr. Ling began practicing in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is an experienced cataract surgeon, a board‑certified ophthalmologist, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Recognized as an expert in comprehensive ophthalmic care, she is regarded as a top cataract surgery specialist by patients and referring providers alike. Her clinical practice includes refractive cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, as well as medical and laser treatment of glaucoma and a broad range of corneal and retinal conditions.
Outside of work, Dr. Ling enjoys hiking and exploring New England on motorcycle trips with her husband, staying active through exercise, cooking, and playing the violin and guitar together. She also enjoys making jewelry and playing video games.
